At Riders Emporium, I believe good saddle fit for both you and your horse is key to an enjoyable experience! I am an INDEPENDENT fitter, meaning I do not sell one specific brand of saddle or tack. Instead, I have aligned with multiple saddle and tack brands and also keep a stock of pre-owned saddles to find the BEST fit for both you and your equine partner. I also do basic saddle repairs. Saddle Fitting
Make sure you complete our forms above in advance of your saddle fitting appointment!
Consultation
$125
Meet you & your horse, discuss goals and issues, go over horse health regime & veterinary history. Watch horse travel, dry fit saddle with & without pad. Initial ride and recommendations for changes. Approx 30-60 minutes - 1 horse/1 saddle
Additional Saddle per horse
+$55
If you have more than 1 saddle per horse, there is a $55 upcharge for the consultation.
Detailed Consultation
$160
Includes all services from Consultation and includes tracings and photo sets to aid in purchasing a saddle or detailing a horse's growth & development or rehab progress. Approx 60-90 minutes.
Saddle Demo session
$280
Want to try out multiple saddles & multiple brands in the comfort of your own barn? This option is for you! Includes 4 saddles to be demo ridden. Additional saddles upon request Approx 90-120 minutes.
Adjustment(s)
$80
After consultation, flocking adjustments are made onsite. Can include the addition, removal or adjustment of wool flocking. For western & foam saddles, this may include trial of pads, shims. Approx 30-60 minutes
Follow-up visit(s)

If additional visits are needed to continue addressing issues within the first 3 weeks post fitting, these will be quoted as needed. Applies to many horses under specialized care or severe saddle issues.
Travel Fee

Travel fees apply when more than 50 miles away. This fee will be split among all scheduled clients. Fees generally run between $50 and $75.
Saddle Repairs and Amendments
Reflocking - English Saddle
$325
Removal of panels, removal of old wool, addition of new wool, restitching panels to tree. Cleaning & conditioning of leather. Please allow 2 weeks from pickup to delivery.
English Billet Replacement
$65/pair
Must be replaced in pairs at minimum. Stitching fee may apply if panels must be removed to access billets.
Foam or Air to Wool Conversion
$425
Removal of panels, removal of foam or pail panels, the addition of wool, restitching panels to the tree. Cleaning & conditioning of leather. **Dependent on the panel shape if this is possible. Please allow 2-4 weeks from pickup to delivery.
Ring Additions - English Saddle
$8/ring
Stitching fee will apply.
Restitching Fee
Quoted
Applies when panels must be removed into make repairs to amendments. Also applies when stitching has broken, stretched or come loose as a separate service. Fees generally run between $50 and $100.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens & we understand that! But cancellations impact others being seen the same day as well as myself. In most cases, it means that someone waiting for an appointment has to wait longer because they can't move their day around on short notice. That being said, there will be times that rescheduling needs to happen, such as adverse weather that makes driving & riding unsafe. In these cases, there is no charge to you.
